Repeat prescriptions
In the interest of good medical care,
the doctor will normally need to see you for a repeat prescription.
The receptionist will always need to check with the doctor whether
it will be available without you needing to see the doctor.
Referral to specialists
To ensure the best management of your case, we like to discuss your
condition before referring you to a specialist. Please note that
we are not permitted by law to back-date specialist referrals, so
please ensure that you have a current referral before you see the
specialist.
Certificates
Medical certificates are legal documents. They are available only
if you are present for consultation with one of our doctors. We
cannot issue Certificates without you actually seeing the doctor
and we are not permitted to issue Certificates retrospectively.
Test results
In some circumstances your doctor will instruct the practice nurse to advice you of your results over the phone. In other circumstances they will request that you present for another appointment for discussion of your results.
