Family Practice
Family practice is the medical specialty which provides continuing
and comprehensive health care for the individual and family. It
is the specialty in breadth which integrates the biological, clinical,
and behavioral sciences. The scope of family practice encompasses
all ages, both sexes, each organ system, and every disease entity.
Family Physician
The family physician is a physician who is educated and trained
in family practice -- a broadly encompassing medical specialty.
Family physicians possess unique attitudes, skills, and knowledge
which qualify them to provide continuing and comprehensive medical
care, health maintenance and preventive services to each member
of the family regardless of sex, age or type of problem, be it biological,
behavioral, or social. These specialists, because of their background
and interactions with the family, are best qualified to serve as
each patient's advocate in all health-related matters, including
the appropriate use of consultants, health services, and community.
Immunisation (Children & Travel)
Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting
children against certain diseases. The risks of these diseases are
far greater than the very small risks of immunisation. Click here to know why,how and where relating to immunising children

showing the schedule for immunising children.Travelling overseas
can expose you to many diseases that you are not exposed to at home.
Immunisation protects you against a number of diseases is recommended
before travelling to certain countries where there is a high risk
for that disease. If you have any questions about immunisation,
please discuss them with your doctor.
Accupuncture
In reality Acupuncture are practiced medical treatments that are
over 5,000 years old. Very basically, Acupuncture is the insertion
of very fine needles, (sometimes in conjunction with electrical
stimulus), on the body's surface, in order to influence physiological
functioning of the body.
WorkCover services
A Workcover Certificate is issued by your treating medical practitioner.
The Workcover Certificate provides details of your
injury, and if appropriate, your capacity to work.
The initial Workcover Certificate must be issued by
a general practitioner, and must accompany a Worker's Claim for
Compensation.
Work cover
- Covers reasonable medical treatment and rehabilitation;
- provides weekly payments of compensation if there is incapacity for work after the injury/illness
- assists the staff member to return to work as quickly and safely as possible after their injury/illness
Accident and Emergency
An event demanding immediate medical attention. Our doctors understand
the patient's feeling of urgency and the cure. In dealing with specific
emergency, the doctor adopts a different approach. Instead of taking
a history performing a examination in an usual way, our doctors
replace this with rapid assessment and immediate management. Sometimes,
the diagnoses may be possible on the information available over
the telephone. So, always phone the surgery first and you would
be advised on the appropriate action.
Minor Surgical Procedures
Minor surgical procedures include excision of typical and irritated
naevi, cysts, skin cancers, as well as incision and drainage of
abscess. Removal of warts, cryosurgery are also done in the medical
centre.
General medical examination
Our internal medicine staff provides comprehensive services for
adults, such as diagnosing and treating health problems that require
prompt attention, conducting general physical examinations and performing
screenings, which may detect health problems early.

obesity are very high. Overweight and obese people experience greater
morbidity in addition to other social problems, such as discrimination.
While the treatment of people who are currently overweight and
obese should continue, we believe that the current trend of an increasing
prevalence of overweight and obesity will be reversed only if urgent
steps are taken to prevent people becoming overweight and obese.
Men's health
Typically men don't like to talk about their health and figures

Dr Paul Buckley is a doctor who specializes in skin diseases and he is available on Tuesday evening and Friday mornings.

Dr Jason Res runs a sports clinic on Mondays for initial consultations. With Dr Jason regarding sprots medicine please notify the receptionist as a 30 minute initial appointment will be required.
Antenatal Care and Women's Health
We have many practitioners with an interest in women's health, antenatal and postnatal care. Some of our doctors have postgradute qualifications in this area.
Baby Checks
We have practice nurses who are able to carry our your baby's development checks immunizations. This service is enhanced by the presence of your doctor in the clinic should any problems or queries arise during the check.
